An Island of its Own

I must admit that I have never really focused on birds even though I am a photographer, but after reading some articles in Audubon 2014 issue I will aim to capture and pay closer attention when I am out in nature. This issue holds some interesting articles, covering top innovators and even a captivating article on the Galapagos Islands.
These islands hold an interesting perspective of our world, its echo system once thriving with an abundant of creatures now is on the verge of vanishing as climate change alters this mysterious and wondrous place. The photography captures the true spectrum, taken bySebastiao Salgado.

Nature and photography Come Alive

First I must say that the Faerie Magazine was most impressive with the layout and articles, at least in this addition that I could see. In the current issue that I came across; I've found a new artist to follow. Artist Katerina Plotnikova shoots her work combining nature and animals together into a encapsulating and uncanny surrealism that I find most alluring.

" I wold love for anyone
    who sees my work to
     understand that even though
    the world has retreated
    further and further from
nature, we still find a balance..."

Snap Shots

Going on any adventure-travel excursion whether for work or pleasure can sometimes do a number on your health and diet. It can be exciting to be carried away into another culture, but if you drift away from your nutritional plan then your in for a rude awakening. But in Cooking Light Bill Allen a photographer/editor for Natural Geographic was woken up when his results from the doctor came back looking a bit shabby. So Bill as he mentions in the article had to change up his diet-life style plan so that he could continue traveling.

Exodus 15:26 New International Version (NIV)

26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

Road Trip

A spur of the moment road trip offers a vocation of freedom from the busy life you might lead. Jump in your car with your pals and just head on out. A sudden impulse takes one woman across country and experiences some of what Connecticut has to offer.
In fact I took such a trip to Government Camp. A spur of the moment road trip with my father and our pup Ginger. Great scenic routes. And good eats at the local brewery!

E. E Cummings

As a poet goes E.E Cummings ranks very high, at least in my perspective. As stated in the article much of his early work edged on "Funky punctuation," and like myself always looking for new perspectives that would cultivate ideas. In fact he wrote this very magazine early on submitting his beloved writing.

Designer Yves Behar

Yves Behar as stated in Vanity Fair Feb 24th states that his designer as having a iconic reputation..  He has focused a career of fine crafted-day to day use objects. Attending art school; starting his own company, and eventually landing a position at Jawbone
